In former time, on this island there were many wildlife elephant. Phuket is the largest island in Thailand. It is in the Andaman Sea in southern part of Thailand.The island is mostly mountainous with a mountain range in the west of the island from north to the south. The elder in Phuket said that to take product, goods, tin, rubber to the ship at the harbour. Some use labour, buffalo cart, cow cart. Someone said they walked in forest and meet wild elephant.

Until 1967 Sarasin bridge was built that linked Phuket Island to the mainland of Phang Nga Province. This 700m bridge is to replace the ferry which was then the only connection to the mainland. Many of the elephant were brought to the mainland. And many of them still worked in rubber industry.

Today Phuket is a world class destination with it stunning beaches and picture-perfect landscape.
